I’m from Vancouver BC, Canada. I am an abstract painter. I work in studio most days, but often do installation work as well. The two main components to my work are form and colour. I work a lot with shapes, line, and colour. Im really interested in how colour is connected to memory, and how it can represent something different for everyone, colour can often be a visual conversation starter. I’m always searching for a sense of simplicity with my work, not necessarily in a minimalism context but I strive for a sense of balance and harmony. I think I love what I’m doing because my focus on just form and colour has an so much to explore as is. I enjoy both the limitations and the potential. It’s very humbling to feel like your always learning and experimenting with a concept that on the surface seems quite simple, yet over time it always remains larger than yourself. My words of advice to others would be, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take - So let it fly and be nice to people along the way, you never who might pass along a valuable lesson.
