I was born in South London but moved to Brooklyn, New York when I was 5 before settling in West London 7 years later. I'm a Presenter and Actress. Presenting is mainly about being comfortable being yourself (in front of camera, and sometimes in really awkward situations) so I tend to find inspiration for that in my everyday life. When I'm talking to a crowd or interviewing an artist, I always aim for it to feel like a natural conversation and it helps when I'm able to bring real life experiences into the fold. In terms of acting, I'm inspired by great actors - but I also find heavy inspiration in music. I feel like good music carries the same kind of raw emotion you need to harness as an actor to be able to give an honest performance. I love my job for many reasons. One is because no two days are the same, another reason is because I get to meet so many people from so many different walks of life doing what they've always dreamed of. It's special to me because it reminds me that anything is possible. Don't be scared to put yourself out there, some people won't get you but you've gotta be comfortable enough to accept that. Also, sometimes you have to create your own opportunities - if there's something you want to do but don't have the experience and nobody is giving it to you - do it yourself! You'll be surprised what you could pull together with a bit of passion and commitment.
