I'm from Amsterdam, but I’m currently living in London for a couple of months! I’m doing the one thing I love to do; fashion design – from creating a concept/mood ‘till the making of the garments. I can be inspired by everything. Most of the time, I like to get inspiration from “ugly” things – often non-fashion related stuff. In my creative process I always try to get lost in research about random topics/stories that I find interesting. From there I create the concept from the found information and after that I translate it in silhouettes, colour palettes etc. For me it’s the best way to express myself personally and professionally. I love how the whole process of creating something can be so personal and at the end there is something presentable and wearable. Words of advice, find a good balance between thinking rational and emotional and then just take the risk if it feels good!
